Personal Training
So why do you need a personal trainer? What are the benefits of 1-2-1 tuition?
Many of the answers as to why, depend on you! With a career in fitness of over 10 years, I have experienced clients with many different needs, desires and fitness goals and I know that each client is different, and needs to be trained accordingly.
If you are having trouble with your motivation, I can help you with that. If you are having issues with your lifestyle which is making it difficult to find time for exercise, I can help you with that. With a personal trainer you get the benefits of a 1-2-1 experience where I will fully assess your fitness needs and manage your goals with a realistic and timeous program. You will have a one hour session per week, if that’s what you require, where I can teach you the techniques to move well, to become flexible and strong, to unlock your fitness potential and get you on the road to your fitness goals. I will write you programs to follow for when you are training by yourself and you will have constant access to me to ask questions, to practice and revise techniques, to ensure that you are training consistently and efficiently.
Training styles
Weights & Olympic lifting – This is one of my favourite methods of training! I will teach you the correct techniques to learn how to perform a snatch and a clean and jerk along with squats and deadlifts. These techniques are used to train for explosive strength and they also test aspects of human ballistic (explosive strength) limits. Every single muscle in your body will be worked, and over time you will become faster, stronger, and more coordinated. What’s not to like?
Calisthenics (body-weight exercises) - body-weight exercises are a must for everyone, to be able to do all gross motor movements, such as running, standing, grasping, pulling etc. These are often done rhythmically and generally without equipment. To be able to move well is an essential tool for our daily lives. Calisthenics can provide the benefits of muscular and aerobic conditioning. They also improve balance, agility and co-ordination.
Boxing training - if you fancy mixing things up a bit and you feel the need to release some frustrations, then I can offer you a mixture of pad work for boxing and kickboxing and let you have a taste of one of the most physically demanding sports in the world! It will increase your cardio fitness, as well as you speed, co-ordination and it’s a real confidence booster too!
